Gina Boyle had said she was fast, and you’d better believe it. From the moment the Kaiser Permanente member appeared on the court at the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games, she was racing, weaving, leaping, and blocking from one end of the court to the other and back again — and sinking baskets whenever she got the chance. Even after taking a hard fall, she jumped right up, brushed herself off, and continued to play. And not just play. This dynamic young woman was in the thick of the action for much of each game and is clearly an integral member of this talented team.
Four games of very competitive and fast-paced play led to a championship game at the Alaska Airlines Arena, and silver medals all around for Gina and Team Washington. Way to go, team!
